Peter M. Rothwell

Peter M. Rothwell 76 of Ravenna passed away Wednesday December 7, 2011 at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna.  He was born March 24, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late  John and Jean (Moore) Rothwell.  Mr. Rothwell has lived in Ravenna  the past seven years  and was formerly of Garrettsville.  He is  a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Korean War and was e retired salesman from Proctor & Gamble in Akron.  He enjoyed  hunting, fishing, tinkering with cars and woodworking and also his many conversations with friends at the Garrettsville McDonalds.  Survivors include his wife of 50 years Ellen (Werbeach) Rothwell, son Gregory Rothwell of Akron, daughter Lisa Blake of Kent, grandchildren Kristen Dennison, Mackenzie and Andrew Blake and brother Sam Rothwell of New Jersey.  He preceded in death by his parents and one sister.  Calling hours will be Monday December 12, 2011 from 2:00 PM until time of funeral services at 4:00 PM  with Pastor Philip Raynes officiating at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Military Honors and entombment will take place at 10:00 AM Tuesday December 13, 2011 at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fisher House Foundation Inc. 111 Rockville Pike Suite 420 Rockville , MD 20850-5168 or the Alzheimer's Association 1815 W.
