Phyllis M. (Patti) Mazzola

Phyllis M. Mazzola, 93, of Ravenna died Tuesday, March 25, 2014. She was born April 9, 1920 in Ravenna, Ohio, to Michael and Concetta (Giuffrida) Patti. Mrs. Mazzola has lived in Ravenna since 1950, was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and worked 16 years as an inspector for Oak Rubber Co. Survivors include her daughters Patti (Tom) Buchanan, of Ravenna, Sara (Bill) Rector, of Mantua, sons Joseph (Pam) Mazzola, James (Ruth) Mazzola and John (Jennifer) Mazzola, all of Ravenna, 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and her sister Ann Musyt of Orville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 58 years James Mazzola, sister Sarah Esterline and brothers Michael and Basile Patti. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-granchildren, and was always there when they needed her. She still met with retired co-workers once a month for breakfast and also enjoyed making outstanding spaghetti and meatball dinners on Sundays for family and friends. Her homemade sauce and meatballs were second to none. She will be deeply missed by her family. Calling hours will be from 10 am to time of services at 12 noon Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Father William B. Kraynak officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
