Quentin M. "Red" Bennett 69 of Shalersville died Saturday, April 20, 2013. He was born July 30, 1943 in Greenview, WV to Ottie and Cloey (Myers) Bennett. Red was a stripe painter for Neatline/Aeromark Co in Streetsboro, enjoyed hunting, golfing, horses and all Cleveland sports teams. Survivors include his sisters Adina Mitchell of Cleveland,  OH, Geraldine "Jerri" (Dwaine) Hiland of Kansas City, MO and Ann (Dorman) Ixos of Warsaw, OH, brothers Emmerson Bennett of Bolivar, OH and Glen Bennett of Cleveland, OH and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Evelyn, sister Mary Jane Watts, and brothers Clyde W., Philip, and Emmett K. Bennett. Calling hours will be from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at the funeral home with Chaplain Jane Strauss officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to Robinson Memorial Hospice, 6847 N. Chestnut Street, Ravenna, OH 44266.
