Ralph W Townend

Ralph W. Townend Sr. 76 of Ravenna passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at his home with his loving family around him.  He was born December 29, 1933 in Beaverdale, PA to the late Richard and Florence (Catchpole) Townend.  Ralph lived in Ravenna the past 40 years where he worked for Filmco till he retired in 1995.  He enjoyed bingo, fishing and spending time with his family traveling.  Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Nancy June (Simpson) Townend, daughters, Phillis A. (Antonio) Sgotto of Brimfield, Brenda Truelove of Ashville, NC, sons, Ralph W. (Veronica) Townend Jr, of Ravenna, Richard E. (Abby) Townend of Cincinnati, 11 grandchildren, sisters, Violet Miller, Peg Dillon, Doris Franklin, Jean Rettig, Melverta Turek, bothers, Ken Townend, and Ron Townend. He was preceded in death by his bothers, Don, Herb, and a Infant brother and sister.  Calling hours will be held from 2 - 4 and 6- 8 PM Thursday, May 6, 2010, with the Funeral Service following at 8:00 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.  Pastor Bruce Chouinard will be officiating.  Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Monday, May 10, 2010 at 11:30 AM.
