Ramona Lindsey 75 of Streetsboro passed away Friday April 1, 2011 at her residence. She was born June 27, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Catherine Lake. She has lived in Streetsboro since 1964 and was formerly of Michigan. A city girl, Ramona turned a farmers wife who lived for her family. Her family meant everything to her, attending school events for her family, involved with 4-H projects at the Randolph Fair with her family and loved to watch her family at garden tractor pulls. She loved to work in flower gardens, was a home decorator, enjoyed sewing and quilting and thoroughly enjoyed a good pinochle card game. Survivors include her husband Charles Lindsey, Sr. whom she married Nov. 24, 1951, sons Charles R. (Lynnette) Lindsey, Jr. of Ravenna, Joseph Lindsey of Streetsboro, Kenneth Lindsey of Ravenna, daughters Bonnie (James) Marek of Mantua, Catherine (Avery) Yeamans of Ravenna, Elizabeth (Darrall) Hillegas of Diamond, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and sister Shirley Miles of Springfield, MO. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Maxine Kett Harrington. Calling hours will be 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday April 5, 2011 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro Chapel where funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday April 6, 2011 with Rev. Carolyn Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro, Ohio. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
