 
  
 Ray W. Taylor, 79, of Randolph died Monday, June 11, 2012 at home after a longillness, surrounded by family. He was born March 16, 1933 in Morgan County, Ohio to Herbert and Roxie (Alderman) Taylor. Ray worked as a machinist for Goodyear Tire & Rubber in Akron and retired as a supervisor from the Goodyear Tech Center Tire & Mold Division. He was a US Army veteran and member of the United Rubber Workers #2. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Marjorie (Lyon), daughters Carol Johnson of Ft. Mill, SC, Debbie (Wesley) McCourt of Alliance and Karen (Bob) Hassett of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, 6 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a sister Elsie Middleton of Sidney, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Edith Middleton and brothers Henry, Charles and Clyde Taylor. Calling hours will be from 5 - 8 PM Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Friday, June 15, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Roy Teague officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery in Randolph.
