Raymond L. Baird

Raymond Lee Baird 80 of Streetsboro died Tuesday, April 14, 2015. He was born June 25, 1934 in Salem, Indiana to Nathan and Mildred (Gilstrap) Baird. Raymond lived part of the year in Riverview, Florida and the other part in Streetsboro, Ohio. He worked as a scheduler for Terex and General Motors and he was a 20 year member of the Streetsboro Volunteer Fire Department and was one of their first Paramedics. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Kathleen (Madden), daughters Lynne (Budd) Rumsey, Darlene (Steve) Baird and Brenda (Greg) Hards, sons Dennis Baird, John (Shirley) Baird and Daren (Tracie) Baird, 7 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, a sister Alma Leacock of Colorado Springs and brothers Norman (June) Baird of Tallmadge and Darrell (Jean) Baird of Brimfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Jeanetta Elrod. Calling hours will be from 12 PM to time of service at 2 PM Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Reverend Bruce Chouinard will officiate.
