Raymond Nichols, Sr.

Raymond Nichols 87 of Ravenna passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 6, 1938 in Liverpool, WV to Roy Potts and Ethel Nichols McCumbers. Raymond worked and retired as a supervisor from Norandex in Walton Hills. He was a member of the Ravenna Elks. He loved playing country music with the Country Playboys and played around the area for 40 years. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Lourie Jean (Moorhead), children Norma (Alex) Cox and Raymond Lee (Andrea) Nichols, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles Nichols. Calling hours will be from 1 PM to 4 PM Sunday, February 8, 2026 and from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 12 PM on Monday, February 9, 2026 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Pastor Tom Mesaros will officiate. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna.
