Reva M. (Garyhart) Vanhoose Dorsey

Reva M. Van Hoose Dorsey 86 of Ravenna passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at Akron City Hospital. She was born July 20, 1927 in Darfork, KY to the late Cager and Eva (Fugate) Gayhart.  She has lived in Ravenna most her life where she was a beautician and the owner of Glamour Nook & Reva's Beauty Salon . Reva was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Portage County Senior Center.   Survivors include her children Connie (Terry) Knight of Ravenna,  Lonnie Van Hoose of Ravenna, daughter-in-law Fran Van Hoose of  Arizona , her grandchildren JC Van Hoose, Ernie(Tina) Knight, Dana(Tara) Van Hoose, Debbie Ford, Robbie Van Hoose, Renee(Mike Ring) Knight , her great grandchildren Cory, Cameron,  Ava, Zachary, Jordan, Emma, Tyler, Calli, and Trey, her brother  Kenneth(Ruby) Gayhart and many loving nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Ronnie Van Hoose and siblings Dana Gayhart and Rena Miller.  There will be no calling hours,  a graveside service, with burial to follow will be 1:00 PM Tuesday February 18, 2014 at Maple Grove Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  The family would like to thank the Cambridge Home Health Care, the Northeast Professional Home Health Agency and their staff.  Special thanks  from the family to home heath aides Renea, Melissa, Lora, Denise and nurses  Janet, Elizabeth, Sara, Karen, and Annette.
