Richard G. Crooks

Richard Gale Crooks 72 of Ponce Inlet, FL died Tuesday, September 20, 2011. He was born January 11, 1939 in Ravenna to the late Earl D. and Mary Mae (Coy) Crooks. Richard had resided in Portage County all his life until moving to Florida in 2001. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, a former member of the Kent VFW and had been an automotive parts salesman. Survivors include his wife Mary Jane (Neiswonger) Korpita-Crooks, daughter Jennifer (James) White of California, sisters Lee Dillie of Newton Falls, Rosita White of Kent. Dolores Andexler of Aurora and brothers Lyndon Crooks of Kent and W. Lee Crooks of Ravenna. Besides his parents he was preceded by sisters, Ramona Burger and Juanita Bucklew.  Calling hours will be from 5 - 8 PM Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Monday, September 26, 2011 at the funeral home with Reverend Todd Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna.
