Richard M. Deremer

Richard M. DeRemer 59 of Palmyra passed away Thursday, June 29, 2023. He was born October 10, 1963 in San Diego, CA to Dennis and Patricia (Bandlow) DeRemer. Richard was the operations manager for Diamond Heavy Haul, and enjoyed the everyday challenge of moving the impossible alongside the professionals at Diamond Heavy Haul. He prayed for the drivers and escorts while they moved a load. He was a member of All Ports Yacht Club, an adventurer, travel enthusiast and hot sauce connoisseur. Richard enjoyed live music, boating and fishing the shores and islands of Lake Erie. Richard was a proud loving father to Alec DeRemer, and loved spending time with his grandson Mason Blaine DeRemer, other survivors include his mother Patricia Lloyd, siblings Barbara (Bruce) Simmons, Brenda Best, Eric (Jessica) Lloyd, Trish (Jeff) Hager, stepsisters Jodi (James) Bowen and Evelene (Hector) Wilson , stepbrothers Audy (Bonnie) Lloyd and Zane (Kelly) Lloyd, fiancé' Kelly D. Olszak and her children Katie Dye and Austin Olszak and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Dennis DeRemer and stepfather Zane Lloyd. A friend to all, people were drawn to him for the laughter and fun. A life well lived is an understatement and those he left behind will always long for one more day and one more time. Memorial calling hours will be from 2 PM until time of memorial service at 4 PM Sunday, July 9, 2023 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Pastor David Ballert will officiate.
