Richard T. Deyoung

Richard T. DeYoung 72 of Ravenna passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Robinson Memorial Hospital.  He was born May 12, 1940 in Ravenna to the late Simon and Nedra (Dole) DeYoung-OverHolt. Richard served with the US Navy.  He was a member of the Frist United Methodist Church in Ravenna, and the Lions Club.  He enjoyed camping, woodworking, making model cars, music, was in the Navy Band, and was an animal lover.  He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Martha DeYoung whom he married December 19, 1981, daughter, Deborah (Adam) Barton of Stow, sons, James (Lisa) DeYoung of Ravenna, Jeffery (Danielle) DeYoung of Cuyahoga Falls, grandchildren, Jeffery Jr, Tyler, Elizabeth, Aaron, Emily, Haley, brother, Arden (Peggy) DeYoung of Burton, Ohio. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Suzanne (Sutliff) DeYoung in 1980.  Calling hours will be held Monday, July 9, 2012 from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM with a service at 6:30 PM with Rev. Stephen Sparling officiating at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
