Richard J. "Jim" Hoover

Richard J. "Jim" Hoover, 87 of Southington, passed away Saturday October 30, 2021 at  Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Facility in Howland, Ohio.  On July 7, 1934, Jim was born in Somerset, Pennsylvania to the late Richard and Elsie (Walters) Hoover.  He has lived in Southington most of his life and had retired from Bock Transfer and storage where he worked as a truck driver.  He was a veteran of the US Army.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.  Survivors include his wife of 67 years Betty L. (Wedge) Hoover whom he married March 31, 1954, his son Jeffrey (Denise) Hoover and grandchildren Brandon Chinn and Dalton Hoover.  In honoring his request, cremation has taken place.  Memorial calling hours will be held at James Funeral Home 8 East Broad St. Newton Falls, Ohio 44444 on Sunday November 7, 2021 from 10:00 Am until time of Memorial services at 11:00 AM with Rev.
