Richard E Snyder

Richard E. Snyder 67 of Ravenna passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at his home with his loving family around him.  He was born March 29, 1943 in Kent to the late Earl and Pauline (Brannen) Snyder. Richard served with the US Army. He retired from Goodyear Rubber in 1998 after 30 years.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 888, he enjoyed model building, was known as a Jokester, and loved hunting and fishing, everywhere from Portage County to Alaska. Survivors included his daughters, Cynthia (Kevin) Snyder of Edinburg, Debra (Bruce) Scarberry of Kent, sister, Ruth McKay of Kent, brother, Walter Snyder of Lower Salem, and grandchildren, Michael, Craig, Keyla, Andrew and Amber. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Susan (Fugett) Snyder whom died in 2006. Calling hours will be held from 5-8 PM Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 14, 2010 with Reverend William Snyder officiating.  Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery Ravenna following the service.
