Rickey B. Cook 60 of Ravenna went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 21, 2015. He was born March 12, 1955 in Mullens, WV to Teddy and Ollie (Dancy) Cook. Rickey was a member of Portage Community Chapel in Ravenna and the Balsa Bees Flying Club. He was a US Army veteran and he worked as a machinist for American Spring Wire in Bedford Heights. Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years Kim (Mullennex), daughter Rachel (Bill) Tharp of Struthers, son Jared Cook of Ravenna, grandchildren Alayna and Justin Tharp, father Ted Cook of Ravenna, sisters Vevenne Mertz of Stow and Trina (Ray) Collier of Ravenna and brothers David (Brenda) Cook of Ravenna and Darin (Denise) Cook of Ravenna. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the funeral service at 12:00 Noon Thursday, June 25, 2015 at Portage Community Chapel with Pastor Barry Shahan and Pastor Mark Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to Portage Community Chapel, 6490 State Route 14, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
