RL Sanders

RL Sanders, 82, of Ravenna, passed away Friday March 6, 2026 at the UH Portage Medical Center in Ravena, Ohio. Mr. Sanders was born March 27, 1943 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late James E. and Mozella (Ransom) Sanders. Living in Ravenna most of his life, Mr. Sanders was a community activist owning the Minorities United to Save America and was a member of United Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Cindy in 2022, daughter Tiffanie Russell, siblings Joe Nathan Sanders, Jimmy L. Snaders, Leo Sanders and an infant sister. Survivors include his children Ronald (Misty) Waddy, Curtis (Amber) Taylor, Sarita Jones, Rashid Carter, James Carter, Chynell (Robert) Moore, Marsha Hill-Coleman, Vidella Giles, Jeramy Woolwine, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and siblings Elder James E. Sanders, Doris J. Campbell, Alma Coney, Ernistine Jones, Eddie L. Sanders, Douglas Maurice Sanders, Paulette Jones, Jeffery Sanders, Marvin Sanders, Roger Michael Sanders, Mary A. Benedict and Tyrone Sanders. Calling hours will be 10 AM until time of the 11 AM funeral services at the United Church of Jesus Christ on Saturday March 14, 2026.
