Robert "Bob" A. Polomsky

Mr. Robert (Bob) Allyn Polomsky, of Edinburg, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at the age of 79. Bob was born to parents Cyril (Cy) and Okal Polomsky on July 3, 1943, in Ravenna, OH. He grew up as the third of four children. He married Sue Polomsky in 1965 and celebrated 55 years together. He was a loving and devoted father to two children. Bob was a lifelong resident of Portage County and worked as a self-employed contractor building Ryan Homes throughout northeast Ohio. He was a journeyman carpenter for over 45 years, long-time member of Ohio Carpenters Locals #639 & #285, and served as treasurer for Retirees Local #285. Bob was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating.  His favorite things in life however were his grandchildren and flying.  He was a licensed private pilot and owned his own Cessna 172.  Bob and Sue enjoyed watching their grandkids’ sporting events and traveled all over the country to watch them play. Bob is preceded in death by his spouse Sue Polomsky, his father Cy Polomsky, his mother Okal Polomsky, his older brother Fred Polomsky and sister Alice Memmer. Bob is survived by his daughter Rhonda Lipply and husband Scott; his son Doug Polomsky and wife Tonya; his brother Vince and wife Debbie; grandchildren Ashley and husband Sean, Ryan and wife Amanda, Coty and wife Brooke, Amber, and Trevor; and great-grandchildren Addison, Rylan, Harper, and Leom. Calling hours will be from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 11 AM on Saturday, April 22, 10:00 am at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Reverend William Snyder will officiate. Burial will follow in Edinburg Cemetery.
