Robert "Bob" Anderson Sr. The Lord called another angel home when he wrapped his loving arms around Robert Cecil Anderson 71 of Streetsboro. Robert passed away on May 2, 2011 with his loving family by his side. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Robert was born in Clarksburg WV, on May 25, 1939. He was the son of the late Lester & Mary Anderson. Robert retired from Ivex corporation in Chagrin Falls as a master mechanic. Robert has lived in Streetsboro for the past 34 years , with the love of his life Sylvia Anderson, whom he married January 8, 1957 and his 6 children, Deborah Murphy of Ravenna, Robin (Greg) Rich of Rootstown, Lynn (Luis) Pupo of Kent, sons, Clarence Anderson of Nelsonville, Robert (Kimberly) Anderson Jr. of Streetsboro, Ronald (Celcia) Anderson of Texas. He has 12 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Bob was a hardworking man who had a passion for life, he loved tinkering and landscaping his yard. He had great love for nature. His hobby's included fishing, hunting, painting and woodworking. He was always there to lend a helping hand, and words of wisdom to anyone who asked. Some of Bobs best times where spent with his children, grandchildren and hosting family get-togethers. His passing will leave a void in the hearts of all the lives he has touched. Bob had a close and loving relationship with his brothers and sisters. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Lester & Mary (Ashcraft) Anderson, sisters Susan Martin and Sharon Harper, son-in-law, Jim Murphy and grandson Robert Lewis. Calling hours will be from 2 - 4 & 6-8 PM Thursday May 5, 2011 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 6, 2011 with Pastor Karen Sue Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Shalersville.
