Robert Chinn

Robert Chinn, 86, a lifelong Ravenna resident passed away October 15, 2021 at Akron General Hospital. He was born June 18, 1935 in Ravenna to the late Samuel and Marjory (Williard) Chinn. Robert graduated from Ravenna Township. He married Roberta in 1958 and they celebrated 63 years together this spring. While raising 4 children, Robert had many careers. He was a member of the U.S. National Guard. He owned and operated Chinn Aviation at the Portage County Regional Airport. He worked in construction his entire life and owned Tilden’s Tax Service for over 50 years. Throughout the years, Robert and Roberta traveled to every state and enjoyed visiting Walt Disney World with their family. Along with his parents, Robert is preceded in death by siblings Jack Chinn and Lois (Sam) Shipley. He is survived by his wife Roberta Chinn, children Richard (Joan) Chinn, Jeff (Nancy) Chinn, Denise (John) Spagnuolo, Mark (Jennifer) Chinn, and sister Genevieve (Jim) Burkholder. Also surviving are his grandchildren Sam, Michelle, Amanda, Andrea, Jeffrey, Olivia, Madison, Garrett and Paige and great-grandchildren Nolan, Ethan, Amelia, and Liam, along with many nieces and nephews.
