Robert T. Martin, Jr.

Robert T. "Bob"  Martin, Jr. 70 of Paris Twp., passed away Monday December 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1943 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Robert T. and  Verneal (Edwards)  Martin, Sr.  Mr. Martin has lived in Paris Twp. the past 35 years and retired from the White Rubber Company in Ravenna where he worked as a lab technician.  He was a veteran of the US Navy, a member of the New Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Ravenna, where he served as a deacon of the church and the Sunday school superintendent.  He was also involved with the big brothers and sisters and had served as a boy scout  leader.   Survivors include  his wife of 31 years Dolores "Dodi" (Lewis ) Martin, children Steven (Michelle) Davis of Akron, Danny Davis of Ravenna, Christi (Gene) Brown of Ravenna, Stacy Davis of Youngstown, 11 grandchildren, his sister Patricia Ann Martin of Houston, Texas,  his niece Patricia (Kevin) Celestine, his grand niece Lilly and godchild Gennifer Van de Haar.  Calling hours will be 10:00 Am until time of funeral services at 12 noon on Saturday December 28, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel.  Burial will be in Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery Rittman, Ohio.  Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
