Robert W. Norris, 49, of Streetsboro, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 27, 2010 in his home. He was born in Akron on February 27, 1961 a son of Robert and Waylene (Dodson) Norris. Robert was a life long resident of Streetsboro, he attended the Church of God and was a member the Fraternal Order Of Eagles Aerie #4300 and the Garrettsville Garden Club. He had many patient pending and loved computers, movies, spending time with his family, being outdoors, skiing, and sled ridding. Robert is survived by his mother, Waylene Norris of Streetsboro; son, Wesley Norris of Berlin Center; stepson, Jeffery Carter of New Castle, Pennsylvania; stepdaughter, Brittney (Christopher) Eicher of Norfolk, Virginia; lifelong friend, Patricia Patterson of New Castle; sister, Kimberly Bowen of Streetsboro; brothers, Harvey and Michael Norris, both of Streetsboro; niece, Shelby Bowen; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 5-8 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Akron Children's Hospital, One Perkins Square, Akron, Ohio 44308.
