 
  
 Robert "Red' Stacel 82 of Ravenna passed away Thursday December 15, 2011 at his residence surrounded by his family.  He was born February 23, 1929 in Grindstone, PA. to the late Louis and Ruth (Mason) Stacel.  Red has lived in Ravenna  since 1968 and retired  in 1984 from the Ford Motor Company  in Walton Hills where he  worked as a material handler.  He was  a veteran of the US Army serving in the Korean War and was a member  of the Kent VFW, the Ravenna  American Legion and the Ravenna Moose.  Survivors include his children Robin (Allen) Bechtel, Renee(William) Woodall, Robert Stacel, Randy Stacel, Roger Stacel, Rhonda (Mark) Siglow,  18 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren.   He is also survived by his friend and mother of his children Mary K. Barrett and his best buds Jay and Darion Barrett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Samuel and  sisters Valetta Olesh and Mary Louise Hrvnack. Calling hours will be  2-4 & 6-8 PM Sunday December 18, 2011 at Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel .  Graveside  services will be 11:00 AM Monday December 19, 2011 at Maple Grove Cemetery with military honors by the Ravenna VFW Post 1055.  The family requests memorials to the American Kidney Foundation or the  American Diabetes Association.
