Robert G. Wyers

Robert G. "Bob" Wyers, age 68 of Ravenna, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at Akron General Hospital with Linda, his wife of 40 years at his bedside. He was born on December 3, 1941 in Meigs County, Ohio to the late Albert and Edith (Baldeson) Wyers. Robert lived most of his life in Ravenna. He retired from AC Williams, after 25 years of service. Bob enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and horseback riding. He is survived by his wife, Linda (Petit) Wyers of Ravenna; sons, Matthew (Debbie) Wyers of Ravenna and Daniel (Becky) Wyers of North Carolina; eight grandchildren; sisters, Doris (William) Bauman and Charlene Todd, both of Ravenna; brother, Raymond (Joyce) Wyers of Cambridge; sister-in-law, Joyce Wyers of Rootstown; and brother-in-law, David Petit of Atwater. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Timothy; brothers, Jack and Ronnie Wyers; and sisters, Opal Basin, Donna Jean Graves, and Betty Lou Wyers. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 6-8 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Ravenna Chapel and again on Thursday from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service. Intombment will follow in Grandview Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made in Bob's name to one's choice.
