Rodney P. Diezman 70 of Ravenna died Friday, January 22, 2016. He was born May 27, 1945 in Ravenna to Howard and Margaret Diezman. Rodney was veteran of the Vietnam war serving with the U.S. Air Force, 45th MMS. Rod was an honest, hard worker at Filmco for over 40 years. He was a member of the Columbus VFW and Nasty Z28. He had a passion for cars and attending car shows. He enjoyed visiting many Ohio wineries and Alpaca farms. Survivors include his spouse of sixteen years Valarie Dengler, son Aaron Diezman of AZ, daughters Jennifer DeSimio of Ravenna, Samantha Diezman of Brimfield, Jody Mandabon of TX and Heather Harris of Rootstown, Michael Fox of FL and Daniel Dengler of Chardon and 18 grandchildren. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 6-8pm and from 10am until time of service at 11am Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. The service will be performed by the US military at 11am. Cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675. Rod was loved dearly by everyone he left behind and will be greatly missed.
