Ronald "Ron" Charles Colburn, 80, of Streetsboro, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Akron City Hospital. He was born on October 17, 1933 in Jamestown, New York, a son of the late, Charles and Virginia (Treadway) Colburn. Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carol (Van Gorder) Colburn of Streetsboro; his children, Michael Colburn of Streetsboro, Donna (Russell) Williams of Shalersville, Patty (Jim) Fisher of Suffield, and Donald (Valerie Gabor) Colburn of Shalersville; six grandchildren, Elizabeth, Megan, Taryn, Dessie, Holly, and Alex; and six great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be held Tuesday November 26 from 5-8 PM at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, Streetsboro Chapel, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 27 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Dave McClellan officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
