Ronald H. Darrin 72 of Ravenna died Friday, September 18, 2015 at Akron City Hospital. He was born November 27, 1942 in Bullis Mills, PA to Ronald Hilbert Darrin and Frances Lorain (Chapman) Darrin. Ronald was a US Marine Corp veteran, the founder of the Ravenna Young Marines and a member of the Marine Corp League. He retired from the Portage County Engineers Office where he worked as a security officer. He was a loving and caring man who leaves behind his son Charles (Elizabeth) Darrin of Kent, grandchildren Eli X. Darrin, Faith Sue Darrin, Kyle M. Darrin, Nicholas J. Darrin and Dakota C. Darrin and step grandchildren Bradley Byler, William DiTomaso, John DiTomaso, Daniel Byler and Diana Byler. He was preceded in death by his wife Sue Ann Darrin who died 5 months to the date on April 18th of this year and his grandmother who raised him Lena Darrin. There will be no calling hours or services, cremation has taken place. he will be buried with his wife in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman at a later date.
