Ronnie R. Holmes, Sr. 61 of Ravenna died Monday November 25, 2013. He was born September 3, 1952 in Akron, Ohio to John E. Sr. and Sarah J. (Timms) Holmes. Ronnie was a lifelong Ravenna resident, a US Army veteran and retired from the US Postal Service. Survivors include his mother Sarah J. Holmes of Ravenna, sons Ronnie R. (Brandy) Holmes and Larry R. (Rhonda Cooper) Holmes both of Randolph, grandchildren Chase Cooper, Kyla Holmes, Bryce Holmes and Payton Hawk, and brother James L. Holmes of Ravenna. He was preceded in death by his father and brothers John, Charles and Larry Holmes. There will be no calling hours, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at the Ravenna American Legion Post 331 on Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 12 to 4 PM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
