Ronald W Phelps

Ronald W. Phelps, 67 of Ravenna, passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at Tamarack Ridge in Kent, Ohio. Ronald was born on August 21, 1957 in Ravenna to his late parents Clarence and Maxine (McClay) Phelps. He was a lifelong Ravenna resident, being a member of the Ravenna Assembly of God Church and retired from the Kent State University in 2022 working in parking services. In addition to his parents, Ronald is preceded in death by his brother Michael Phelps. He is survived by his wife Sheila M. Phelps, whom he married on September 22, 1979, his children Ronnie (Jessica) Phelps, Kimberlee (Bradley) Moore and Ryan Phelps, grandchildren Dylan, Riley, Chloe, Kinslee, Avery and Jackson, and siblings Clarence, Jr., Tom, Patti Phelps, Gloria Coulson, John and Karen Kaschner. Per his request, cremation has taken place and memorial services will take place on Saturday, October 19, 2024 with memorial calling hours from 12:00 PM until time of funeral service at 1:00 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with Pastor Gary Beck officiating.
