Ronald Paul Spooner Sr.

April 17, 1935 — April 24, 2015

Ronald Paul Spooner Sr., 80 of Streetsboro, passed away Friday April 24, 2015.  He was born April 17, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Michael and Ann Spooner.  He graduated from St. Frances High School in Morgantown, West Virginia and went on to serve in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and worked as an electrician at the Ford Stamping Plant in Walton Hills, retiring in 1997.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Pauline Spooner, Sons; Ronald Paul Spooner Jr of Ravenna, Roland Wayne Spooner of Rootstown and Roswell Timothy Spooner of Ravenna, daughter; Rachael (Randy) Buzzo of Morgantown, West Virginia, granddaughters;  Nicole (Chris) Stewart and Hannah Buzzo, grandson; Benjamin ‘Mo” Buzzo, and great-granddaughter Noelle Marie Stewart.  He is also survived by his brother, Mike Spooner and sister Dorothy Gregan both of White Plains, Maryland, and his beloved dog Nuggett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother Stanley Spooner, sister Janice Jones and grandson Cody Wayne Buzzo.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Shorts-Spicer- Crislip Funeral Home in Streetsboro with Fr. Pat Ferraro officiating.  Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00pm – 7:00pm.
