Rosa L. (Morris) Bennett

Rosa L. Bennett 86 of Warren passed away Sunday march 3, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital  in Warren, Ohio.  She was born February 18, 1927 in  Morgantown, West Virginia to the late john K. and Georgianna (Austin) Morris.   Rosa has lived in Warren the past year and was formerly of Newton Falls and Windham.  She retired from G.M. in Lordstown and was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Windham.  She enjoyed playing bingo, sewing, reading, cooking  and spending time with the grandkids.  In addition to her parents , she was preceded in death by her  1st and 2nd husbands  Denzil Carpenter , Russell B. Bennett, daughter Barb Blewitt, son Russell B. Bennett, son in law Daniel Balzer and four brothers.  Survivors include her children, D. Roy (Linda) Carpenter of Warren, Linda Balzer of Newton Falls, Mellany Wooten of Ravenna,  grandchildren Shawn & Brent Carpenter, Olivia Simpson, Brock Brunstertter, Peter Carpenter, Rob McPherson, Adam & Sara Balzer, Jason Purdy, Aaron Bennett, Ryan Bennett, Tessa Wallace, Chanda Blewitt and Brittany & Ian Wooten, 13 great grandchildren, brother David Morris and sisters Ruth Morrison, Jean Osburn all of West Virginia.  Calling hours will be 6-8 PM Wednesday March 6, 2013 and on Thursday March 7, 2013 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral services  at 12 noon at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel with Pastor Larry Engle officiating.  Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.  Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhome.com.
