Rose M. (Galzerano) Locke

Rose Margaret (Galzerano) Locke, 92, of Ravenna passed away Friday, July 18, 2014 at Bonnie's Home Healthcare.  She was born March 13, 1922 in New Milford, Ohio to the late Angelo and Angeline (Feola) Galzerano.   Mrs. Locke was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Peter P. Locke, Jr. whom she married April 28, 1951 and her son Gary S. Locke, her parents and her sisters: Madeline (Sam) Bologna, Amelia (Anthony) Calabria and Philomena (Remus) Balista.  She leaves behind  her granddaughters Natalie (Francis) Brennan and Meredith Locke, her daughter -in-law Susan (DiPaola) Locke and her sister Dorothy (Allan) Stoessner and many  nieces and nephews.  Rose was a beautician for  42 years, owning her own salon for 35 years that she operated out of her own home.  She loved spending time with her granddaughters and family.  Rose loved baseball and football.  Mrs. Locke was an excellent cook and baker.  Her family would like to thank the staff at Bonnie's Home Healthcare.  They would also like to extend a personal thank you to Bonnie who treated Rose like her own mother.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday July 24, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church, 409 West Main St. Ravenna, Ohio with Father  Robert Pfieffer officiating.   Family will receive friends at the church, one hour prior to the Mass.  Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery Ravenna, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made directly to Bonnie's Home Healthcare, 4826 New Milford Rd. Ravenna, Ohio 44266.  Arrangements are being handled by the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Ravenna Chapel where condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
