 
  
 Roy C. Hoskin 76 of Ravenna died Tuesday, September 4, 2012. He was born October 27, 1935 in Ravenna, Ohio to Carl S. and Altha (Lawver) Hoskin. Roy graduated from Ravenna High School in 1953, retired from Ohio Edison in 1994 where he was an accountant and served in the US Army National Guard.  A member of the Edinburg United Church, he served as a Lay Minister, was a member of the Unity #12 F & AM Lodge, a former Rootstown School Board Member, Maplewood JVS Board of Education member and served on the Rootstown Zoning Appeals Board. Survivors include his sons David (Vicki) Hoskin of Garrettsville, Douglas (Gayle) Hoskin of Kent and Scott(Michelle) Satterfield of Heath, OH, daughters Bethany(David) Thomas of Ravenna, Shelley(Michael) Baka of NV, Vonda (Jeffrey) Sams of Brimfield and Kelley (Richard) Miller of Beaver, PA, 13 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and sister Marilyn (John) Livezey of Ravenna. He was preceded in death by his wife Judith D. Hoskin in 2010, sisters Jean Black and Wanda O'Donnell and 1 great granddaughter. Memorial calling hours will be from 10 AM to time of memorial service at 11:30 AM Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Edinburg United Church with Rev. Robbin DelNagro and Rev. Glenn Shedlock officiating. Private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials to the Edinburg United Church, 4081 Rock Spring Road, Ravenna, OH 44266.
