Ruby R (Moinet) Lower

Ruby R. (Moinet) Lower, 90, died peacefully on February 18, 2011. She was born June 16, 1920 to Charles and Della Moinet in Akron, Ohio. She married Robert Lower in 1939 and raised their daughters Judy (Gene) Nickerson, Janet (John) Ruggieri, Jane (Sam) Pauli, and Joanne (Todd) Strickler starting in Ravenna until 1952 before settling in Brimfield, Ohio. Ruby and Robert enjoyed Corvette racing, playing cards, and spending summers with their family at their cottage on Big Star Lake, Michigan. Ruby’s life can be measured by the many family and friends she has touched with her unconditional love and limitless smiles and goodness she shared with each of them throughout her life.
She will be missed greatly by her brother, Charles Moinet, daughters and son-in-laws Janet and John Ruggieri, and Joanne and Todd Strickler, grandchildren, Robbie Nickerson, Mark Shearer, John (Robin) Kaczynski, Pam (Mike) Lindley, Micki (Shawn) Owen, Angela (Scott) Ruggieri, Rochelle (Travis) McKenzie, and Todd Patrick Strickler, as well as eight great grandchildren. She joins in Heaven her true love and husband Robert, as well as her daughters Judy and Jane.
Services will be held at the Short Spicer Crislip Funeral Home in Ravenna on Monday, February 21, 2011. Visitation will start at 10 am with funeral services at 11 am.
