Ruby L. (Rymer) Darrah

Ruby L. Darrah, 87, of Randolph, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Robinson Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 20, 1926 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late, Layman and Sadie (Hamilton) Rymer. Ruby was a member of the First Church of God in Ravenna and was a cancer survivor. She was also involved with WCG/CWC and quilting for missions. Ruby enjoyed various puzzles, baking, reading, and spending time with her family. She was also a prayer warrior. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Don) Yawn of Hawkinsville, GA and Connie Darrah;  sons, Edward Darrah, Jr. and John (Alicia) Darrah of Randolph; daughter-in-law, Linda Darrah of Rome, Ohio; five grandchildren and many great grandchildren; sister, June Evans of New Hampshire; and brothers, Art Rymer of Akron, David Rymer of Akron, Kenneth Rymer of California, and Curtis Rymer of Florida. In addition to her parents, Ruby was preceded in death by her husband,  Edward S. Darrah; son, Dennis Darrah; and sister Bea Snyder. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the First Church of God, 237 New Milford Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266, where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 AM with Rev. Edward Beck officiating. Interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Randolph, Ohio. Memorial donations may be made to the First Church of God.
