Russell Joseph Kline 77 of Edinburg passed away Friday, October 7, 2011 at home, surrounded by his family, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was born August 8, 1934 in Cuyahoga Falls to the late Raymond and Edna (Ullom) Kline. Russ was a member of St. Peter of the Field Church in Rootstown and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5173. He was a retired bricklayer, volunteer fireman for Rootstown and Edinburg Townships, and served 8 years on the Southeast Board of Education. Survivors include the love of his life, wife of 58 years Jean (Beard), daughters Kim (Mark) Mollohan of Seville, Kathy Ireland of Edinburg, Kelly (Jerry) Brode of Westerville and Kara Bennett of Minerva, sons David (Jane) Kline of Alliance and Derek (Pam) Kline of Lake Milton, the joys of his life 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 on the way, sisters Kate (Bob) Oser of Cuyahoga Falls and Margaret Hillyer of Stow and brothers Ed (Nora) Kline of Lodi, Paul of Louisiana, and Don (Valerie) of Akron. He was precede in death by his parents, 1 daughter and 6 sisters. Calling hours will be from 5 - 8 PM Monday, October 10, 2011 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel with family eulogy services at 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at St. Peter of the Field Church in Rootstown with Father David Misbrener officiating.
