Ruth Ann (Cook) Lewis

Ruth Ann Lewis  90 of Streetsboro, passed away  Monday January 26, 2015 at the Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna, Ohio.  She was born November 30, 1924 in Drill, Virginia to the late Clovis and Nancy Victoria (Arms) Cook,  Mrs. Lewis has lived in Streetsboro since 2003 and was formerly of Hiram.  She retired from Carlon Plastics in Aurora after 35 years of service and following that retirement she worked another 15 years at the Garrettsville McDonalds retiring at the age of 80.  In her younger years, she enjoyed sewing, crafting and cooking.  Survivors include her daughter Patty Jahn of Twinsburg, sisters Doris Music of  Honaker , VA  and Arbutus Compton of Roanoke, VA, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one great great grandson.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son James Lewis, brothers William and George  and her sisters Margaret and Maude.  Private family services were held at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes Streetsboro with private burial at Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua.  Memories of Mrs. Lewis and condolences  may be shared with the family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
