Ruth M. Angotti, 91, of Ravenna died Wednesday, January 28, 2015. She was born March 27, 1923, in Ravenna to Richard M. and Ethel (Stephenson) Cox. Ruth worked at Pyramid Rubber and Goughler Industries. Over the decades she has been thought of as the "other mother" to every one of her sons’ friends who met her and was loved by all who knew her. Ruth and Jess spent their golden years travelling our beautiful country visiting all 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii. They particularly enjoyed spending their winters on the Atlantic Ocean at Jetty Park, Florida, but mostly loved exploring the Rocky Mountains with son Kevin and grandson Eric. Survivors include her sons Daniel M. Angotti of Ravenna and Kevin C. Angotti of Wheat Ridge, CO, grandchildren Natalie and Eric Angotti and a brother, Ron Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jess Angotti in 2003, sisters Alice Cox Miller, Grace Cox, Fay Carpenter and Miriam Kurtz and brothers Richard Jr., Calvin and George Cox. There will be no calling hours or services; cremation has taken place. The family wishes to thank Dr. Yanelli for all his compassion and special attention over the years and to Maryellen and the wonderful hospice team at Robinson Memorial Hospital and most of all Gloriosa Gentil, mom's angel. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the ALS Association or Robinson Memorial Hospice.
