Ruth M (Gless) Newberger

Ruth M. Newberger, 89, of Shalersville passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the Hospice of Medina.  Ruth was born January 11, 1930 to the late Leo and Lois (Rogers) Gless.  Ruth was a lifelong resident of Shalersville where she found great joy in family, mowing, gardening and canning.  She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Ravenna.  Ruth is survived by her husband of 68 years Raymond Newberger and her children Becky (Dale) Kuchenbecker, Marie (Rick) Podojil, Rita (Vincent) Picone and son-in-law Ken Morris all of Shalersville. Grandchildren Amber Dickens, Matthew Dusek, Sam & Zach Podojil and Raymond James Morris.  Great grandchildren Brendan and Aurora Dickens.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Roberta Morris and sister Opal Miner.  Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, July 7, 2019 at the Shalersville Town Hall from 1-4pm.  Condolences and memories can be shared with her family at www.sscfuneralhomes.com.
