Ruth E. (Hutton) Schell

Ruth E. Schell, 89, of Ravenna passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at UH Portage Medical Center after a short battle with Covid. She was born April 19, 1932 to Rayburn and Mae (King) Hutton. Ruth was a member of Ravenna First United Methodist Church, Young At Heart, Ravenna Senior Center and Ravenna Elks where she had many friends who will miss her laughter and humor. She loved to laugh and always brought a smile to those she met. She loved her Cleveland sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes. She worked as a teachers aide at Ravenna city Schools for many years before working in Quality Control at Evenflo. Survivors include her children Sharon (John) Norman, Diane Franczkowski, Carl T. Schell and Nancy Schell, grandchildren Heather and Caitlyn and sisters Margaret Taylor and Carol Davidson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl J., brothers Elwood and Howard and grandson Winter Forrest Helms. Private services will be held with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Donations may be made in her name to a charity of your choice.
