Ruth Ann (Manning) Barker

Ruth Ann (Manning) Barker, 57 of Ravenna passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at her home with her family at her side.  She was born June 12, 1957 in St. Mary's, PA to the late Lyle and Mary Jane (Benton) Manning.  She attended St Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Streetsboro. Ruth was a member and also a bar tender for both the Ravenna Elks and American Legion.  She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Samantha R. Barker of Monroe Falls, son, Christopher M. (Clorissa Spurlock) Barker of Kent, sisters, Jane Andrews, Rose Skulina & the Cowboy,  brothers, Lee (Barbara) Manning, Dave (Marcy) Manning, Les Manning, Jeff (Marie) Manning, 7 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded by her husband Mike Barker who died January 9, 2007.  Memorial Calling hours will be held from 5 - 8 PM Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel where the Ravenna Elks will be having a service at 7:45 PM.  The Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Funeral Home followed by burial in Evergreen Cemetery Streetsboro.  Family would like to invite all back to the Ravenna Elks for a Celebration of Life following the burial.
