Ruth A. "Penny" (Moore) Unger

Ruth A. "Penny" Unger, 84 of Akron passed away Tuesday February 1, 2022 at the Akron General Hospital.  She was born in Akron, Ohio to the late Edward and  Ellen (Crofoot) Moore on November 30, 1937.  Penny has lived in Akron most of her life and had worked at Juzo in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.  She was a founding member of the Summit Mennonite Church and was a huge Elvis Fan.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Unger and several brothers and sisters.  Survivors include her children Jeff (Patty) Unger, Brenda (Steve) Kisner, Bob Unger, her granddaughter Elizabeth (Brenton)  Maille and her ex-husband Jerry who was still taking care of her.  Calling hours will be Friday February 11 from 10 Am until time of funeral services at 12 Noon at the Summit Mennonite Church 939 Norton Ave Barberton, Ohio 44203.  (THE FAMILY ASKS THAT THOSE IN ATTENDANCE PLEASE WEAR A MASK) Committal services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Hillside Cemetery Akron, Ohio.  The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions please be made to the family care of Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Homes 141 N.
