Ruth G. Noble, 94, passed away on January 6, 2011 with her loving family beside her at Kensington Care Center in Aurora.  A lifetime resident of Portage County, Ruth was born to the late John and Elsie Scheffel in Streetsboro on February 17, 1916. In 1935 she married Kenneth Noble and moved to the Noble farm in Aurora where she raised her children and was a homemaker. Ruth canned many vegetables from her garden during those years. She enjoyed baking cookies, cakes & bread for her family. After retiring from farming, she worked for the former Custom Beverage in Aurora and Brownberry Bakery in Twinsburg. Ruth was a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Streetsboro. Her special joy was when the whole family gathered for birthdays, weddings, and especially family reunions. Ruth was a caring and loving person who will be missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 1971, brother Chester Scheffel and sister, Loeta Biltz. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Nicholas) Bialkowski of Ft Myers, FL, son, John (Monica) Noble of Mantua, OH, grandson, Nicholas Bialkowski, Jr. of New Jersey, granddaughters, Cheryl Neely of Georgia, Carol Bialkowski of OH, Denise (Neil) Ford and Kimberly Noble both of Florida, three great granddaughters, her sister, Verda Yoder of OH, and a beloved friend and caregiver, Ann Marrie Mann. Calling hours will be held from 11–12:00 pm Monday, January 10, 2011 at the Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home, 9781 Page Road, Streetsboro. Funeral services will immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Burial will be at The Aurora City Cemetery, where Ruth will be laid to rest beside her husband, Kenneth. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ruth’s name to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Green, OH 44685.
