Ruth H. (Shaffer) Lauffer

Ruth H. Lauffer 96 of Rootstown died Saturday, September 20, 2014. She was born November 23, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio to Walter E. and Lucy May (Johnson) Shaffer. Ruth retired from Kent State University where she was a secretary in the Department of History. Survivors include her sister Martha Morse of Oakwood Village, brother David W. Shaffer of CA and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Frederick. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna with Rev. Mark Simone officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel.
