S. Wayne Rogers

S. Wayne Rogers 77 of Ravenna died Thursday, August 18, 2016. He was born March 20, 1939 in Noble County, Ohio to Samuel J. and Lucille (Farson) Rogers. Mr. Rogers was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna and served in the US Army. Mr. Rogers  was a member of the Portage County Horseman's Association and he helped install the riding trails at West Branch State Park. He worked for Terex as a brakeman, GM Lordstown in assembly and was a farmer. Survivors include his wife of 51 years Marie (Simshauser), sister Ann (Terry) Waldman of Warren, 3 nieces and 6 nephews. Calling hours will be from 3 - 5 PM Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel and Monday, August 22, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna from 11 AM until time of funeral services at 12 PM. Pastor Dan J. Caruso will officiate.
