Sandra Gould Krutz died peacefully on June 23, 2025. She was born on February 16, 1941 in Buffalo, New York. She moved to Aurora, Ohio in 1972 to continue her surgical nursing career and that’s where she met the love of her life, Robert. Her career as Director of Surgical Services at Robinson Memorial Hospital spanned over 30 years. After retiring, she spent the last 20 years on the Client Service Team at the Aurora Veterinary Clinic. She was also a very dedicated board member of the Portage Animal Protective League. Sandy’s greatest joys were her family—both human and feline—and her many friends. She was fiercely dedicated to those dearest to her and touched countless lives, including the dozens of cats she lovingly cared for over the span of her life.Sandy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, her parents Thomas & Marian, and sister Judy (Edward). She is survived by daughter-in-law Laurie (Mark), grandchildren Meghan (Tom) and Emily (Jon) and great-grandson Carter; brother Thomas (Lorelei); nieces and nephews Mark, Laura (Monty), Thomas (Brandy), Jeremy (Anneka), and Emily (Antwon); many great-nieces and nephews; and devoted friend Marilyn. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on Tuesday, July 1, at noon, at The Aurora Inn, 30 Shawnee Trail, Aurora, Ohio, where memories of Sandy will be shared. To honor Sandy and her joyful (& sassy!) personality, please wear bright colors. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Portage Animal Protective League, PO Box 927, Ravenna, Ohio, 44266.
