Sandra L (Luedtke) Phillips

Sandra L. Phillips, 87 of Shalersville, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.  On February 16, 1937, she was born in Merrill, Wisconsin to the late Frank and Lorraine (Karau) Luedtke.  Sandra has lived in Portage County since 1944 and in Shalersville since 1964.  She was a member of the Calico Hearts Quilt Club and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna for 80 years.  In 1994, she retired from the Crestwood School systems, working as the secretary at Shalersville Elementary school.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Phillips on Nov. 1, 2015 and her sister Dawn Harper.  Survivors include her children Melodee (Robert Chatlos) Bowden, Shawn Weideman, Shayn (Janet) Weideman, Brad Weideman her Step-children Kim Beranek, James (Anna Maria) Phillips, Jr., Paul (Angie) Phillips, 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, sister Gail Hughes and nieces Monique Riddle and Donielle Harper. A special thank you to her niece Donielle and granddaughter Kristen for their loving caring of Sandra. In honoring her request, cremation has taken place.  Memorial calling hours will be Friday, February 7, 2025 from 3:30 PM until time of the memorial services at 5 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church 170 North Freedom Street, Ravenna, OH 44266 with Pastor Dan  J. Caruso, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Ravenna.
