Shawn M Weideman

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Shawn Weideman, who passed away on June 13, 2026 at the age of 65 after a brief illness at UH Portage Medical Center in Ravenna

Shawn was born on February 5, 1961 in Ravenna, to Gerald and Sandra (Luedtke) Weideman Phillips. He spent much of his life in Shalersville and Ravenna. He was known for his kindness, generosity and humor.

Throughout his life, Shawn graduated from Crestwood schools in 1979, he worked in construction and roofing. He had the artistic talent of drawing/painting inherited from his Mother, and his incredible Aunts Dawn and Gail. He also enjoyed NASCAR, westerns, motorcycles and eagles. Shawn cherished time spent with family and friends.

Shawn is survived by his brothers Shayn (Janet) Weideman, Brad Weideman, and sister Melodee Bowden (Bob Chatlos).

A huge heartfelt Thank you to our cousin, Donielle, for your time, knowledge and care for Shawn and also for us. You are an earthly Angel, thank you!

Those who knew Shawn will remember him for his great personality, dedicated friendship, and love for his family. His impact on the lives of others will not be forgotten.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial calling hours and service will be held Friday July 10th 6-7PM service following at 7 at St Paul's Lutheran Church "170 North Freedom St Ravenna, OH 44266" (https://www.google.com/maps/search/170+North+Freedom+St+Ravenna,+OH+44266?entry=gmail&source=g).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran church.
