Shirley J. (Brown) Adkins

Shirley J. Adkins 78 of Ravenna died Sunday, August 25, 2013 at Robinson Memorial Hospital . She was born September 12, 1934 in Rosemont WV to William R. and Gertrude (Garner) Brown. Shirley has lived in Ravenna since 1951, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and retired in 1999 after 25 years of service from Robinson Memorial Hospital where she was a unit secretary. Survivors include her daughters Cheryl K. Feyesh of Kent and Tamara A. (Michael) Buck of Ravenna, sons Richard A. Phillips of Ravenna and Timothy L. (Anne) Adkins of Kent, 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Garlan "Tim" Adkins in 1982, 1 great grandchild, sisters Dorothy Arbogast and Maxine Shaga and a brother Lyle Brown. Calling hours will be from 5 - 7 PM Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel and 10 AM to time of service at 11 AM Thursday, August 29, 2013 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ravenna. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. In lieu of flowers memorials should be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 170 N. Freedom Street, Ravenna, OH 44266 .
