Shirley Ann (Cope) Rogers

Shirley Ann (Cope) Rogers, 79 of Ravenna died Friday, July 2, 2010 at Altercare Post Acute Rehabilitation Center in Brimfield. She was born August 13, 1930 in Ravenna to the late Ralph and Marian (Batsch) Cope. She was a 1948 graduate of Ravenna Township High School, where she was a cheerleader. Shirley was a hair dresser and had owned her own beauty salon . She was an avid follower of the Cavs and Indians. Survivors include her husband of 58 1/2 years Ron Rogers (son of the late Raymond and Evelyn (Aukeman) Rogers), sons Russ (Phyl) and Kelly Rogers, grandchildren Jeremy, Chris and Lindsay Rogers and Drew Twiggs, great grandchildren Jeremiah and Braydon Rogers and Asher Twiggs, sister Marilyn Ney and sister/best friend Yvonne Miley. Cremation has taken place, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, July 9, 2010 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Ravenna with Deacon Russell Brode officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Shorts-Spicer-Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel. The family wishes to extend a special Thanks to the staff from Robinson Memorial Hospital and Altercare Rehabilitation, who were outstanding.
