Shirley L. (Lohr) Tipton

Shirley L. Tipton completed her Baptism Thursday, June 25, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was born September 3, 1931 in Johnstown, PA. She married the love of her life, Harold Tipton, on August 5, 1953. Shirley moved to Ravenna in 1957, where she worked side by side with Harold at the family business, Tipton's T.V., for 43 years. Shirley was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Ravenna since moving to Ohio. She is survived by her daughters, Judy (Jeff) Calvin, Janet (Roland) Perry and son David Tipton. She has 7 grandchildren, Missy (Rob) Wright, Kristine (Rob) Kotrick, Alicia Calvin, Nathan Perry, Holly Volker, Michelle (Jason) Cleveland and Matt (Libby) Tipton. She also has 7 great grandchildren, Autumn (Josh), Kyle, Olivia, Erin, Jase, Ethan and Chandler. She has 1 great great granddaughter, Callie. She is also survived by her sister, Susie (Rocky) Kelly. She was preceded in death by her parents Marguerite and Arthur Lohr, her brothers Bob and Bill Lohr, her beloved husband, Harold Tipton, her precious great granddaughter Paitynn and daughter-in-law Heidi Tipton.

Shirley's love for her family was truly amazing. She will be greatly missed. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking and baking very much. Through out her life, Shirley enjoyed camping, traveling, spending times with friends and family , reading and puzzles. Shirley loved seeing her great grand kids and talking about the little ones always brought her joy. The family of Shirley is very grateful for Crossroads Hospice.

Calling hours will be held Sunday, June  28, 2020 from 2-5 PM at the Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Ravenna Chapel, where funeral services will be Monday, June 29, 2020 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dan Caruso officiating.  Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park Ravenna, Ohio.  In leu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church  170 N.
